As the holy month of Ramadan draws to a close, MobileMoney LTD has extended support to the Muslim community in Fadama with a donation of GH¢10,000 to aid Eid al-Fitr celebrations.
The presentation took place during an Iftar gathering at the Fadama Central Mosque in Accra, where representatives of the company joined residents to break the fast, sharing in a moment that reflected unity, faith, and community spirit.
Speaking at the event, Finance Manager Mohammed Nurudeen Iddrisu said the donation was both a gesture of appreciation and a way of standing in solidarity with the Muslim community during an important period on the religious calendar.
According to him, the company recognises the significance of Ramadan and remains committed to supporting its customers beyond financial services.
“We are honoured to be part of this moment with our Muslim brothers and sisters. This contribution is our way of showing appreciation for their loyalty and continued trust in our services,” he said.
He also used the opportunity to encourage safe and responsible use of mobile money platforms, reminding users to stay cautious and informed in order to avoid fraud.
Looking ahead to the celebrations, Mr. Iddrisu revealed that MobileMoney LTD will organise a Sallah Fest and MoMo Fest to mark the occasion. The events are expected to combine entertainment with public education, reinforcing both celebration and awareness.
The festivals will feature performances from popular Ghanaian artistes such as Medikal, Wendy Shay, OliveTheBoy and DopeNation, alongside rising talents. Activities will also include a fraud awareness drama and an interactive “Keteke” game show, giving attendees the chance to win prizes while learning about mobile money safety.
He noted that blending entertainment with education is part of the company’s approach to engaging customers meaningfully while promoting secure digital transactions.
The donation forms part of MobileMoney LTD’s ongoing corporate social responsibility efforts aimed at supporting communities and advancing financial inclusion across the country.
Receiving the donation on behalf of the community, the Chief of Fadama, Ridwan Muktar Abbas, expressed gratitude for the timely support, describing it as both impactful and thoughtful.
“This gesture will support many families as we prepare to celebrate Eid. We appreciate the continued partnership and kindness shown to our community,” he said.
He further encouraged members of the community to embrace mobile money services for safer and more convenient financial transactions, while offering prayers for the company’s continued growth.
