He said the bank also deserved commendation for its dedication and efforts towards responding to the specific needs of customers and shareholders and catchment communities.

Mr Brantuo gave the commendation in a speech read on his behalf at the 21st Annual General Meeting on the CCB held at Abesim, near Sunyani.

“This is evident in Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) support for education, health, security and other areas in the bank’s catchment area”, Mr Brantuo stated, commending the bank for investing GHC51,267.50 in the CSR in 2025.

Mr Brantuo reaffirmed the dedication of the ARB Apex Bank to work closely with all Community Banks to build a resilient, trusted, and development-oriented banking network.

He explained that the Bank of Ghana’s Microfinance Sector Reform Road map required all Rural and Community Banks to transition into Community Banks, stronger, more resilient, modernized financial institutions capable of delivering safe, reliable and inclusive financial services across the country.

The transition represents a strategic repositioning of the rural banking sector aimed at ensuring stronger corporate governance, enhanced capital adequacy, robust risk management structures, modernised technology platforms as well as more transparent and standardized operations and improved customer experience and financial inclusion.

“The transformation isn’t merely a regulatory requirement, but an important step and marks the beginning of a new era in which CBs will operate with greater capacity and renewed relevance in a rapidly evolving financial space”, Mr Brantuo explained.

Mrs Patricia Peprah-Agyemang, the Board Chair of the CCB, said the bank’s assets in 2025 amounted to GHC92,940,555 as against GHC68,409,715 in 2024, representing an increase of 35.86 percent.

The bank’s total deposit also grew from GHC58,082,563 in 2024 to GHC79,264,970 in 2025, a representation of 36.47 percent.

She said loans and advances also increased from GHC24,223,767 to GHC31,839,616, reflecting an increase of 31.44 percent within the same period.

Mrs Peprah-Agyemang added that the bank’s net-profit after tax also jumped from GHC2,220,283 in 2024 to GHC3,302,536 in 2025, representing 48.74 percent.

The bank’s shareholder funds also saw a dramatic increase from GHC6,309,153 to GHC9,589,898 representing a growth of 52 percent, she stated.
