Taking to his Instagram page to announce his decision, the renowned comedian wrote:

“I’m not sure how and when we got here. I won’t be attending the Comic Choice Awards this weekend in South Africa as scheduled,” he stated.

“It might sound like a whisper but together our voices and the right actions will hopefully make a true difference and real change can begin.”

His decision comes barely hours after singer Tiwa Savage also announced that she has cancelled her appearance at the forthcoming DSTV Delicious concert in Johannesburg, South Africa.
