FashionEVO has teamed up with Fashion Connect Africa (FCA) for a major fashion showcase at this year’s Africa Creative Market (ACM) in Lagos, Nigeria.

The partnership was officially announced during a press launch held at the Accra Polo Club on Wednesday, July 9, 2025.

 This year’s collaboration is themed “CREATIVE BRIDGE: Bridging Creativity, Community, and Commerce in Africa’s Fashion Future” and celebrates FCA’s five years of impact.

 It also marks their first international showcase, making the partnership a key moment in connecting Ghanaian and Nigerian fashion industries through culture, creativity, and commerce.

The FashionEVO Summit & Show will take place on Thursday, September 18, 2025, at the Landmark Event Centre, Victoria Island, Lagos as part of ACM 2025. 

The wider programme will run from September 15 to 19, and includes masterclasses, conversations, panel discussions, fashion installations, designer showcases, networking opportunities, an awards ceremony, and a fashion competition for schools and emerging designers.

From September 16 to 19, the FE Pop-Up Boutique will be open daily from 9 AM to 5 PM, featuring pieces from curated African designers. 

Speaking at the press conference, Dr. Yetty Ogunnubi, Founder and CEO of FashionEVO, shared her excitement about the partnership, stating that it is a powerful opportunity to spotlight talent from Ghana and build lasting creative ties between Ghana and Nigeria. 

“We’re excited to join forces with Fashion Connect Africa to showcase the amazing talent coming out of Ghana. This partnership will deepen the connection between our creative communities in Nigeria and Ghana,” she said.

Victoria Michaels, CEO of Fashion Connect Africa, also expressed her joy about the collaboration, saying it gives Ghanaian designers a bigger platform to grow, innovate, and reach new audiences across Africa.

“Teaming up with FashionEVO is a great opportunity to shine a light on the creativity and talent of Ghanaian fashion entrepreneurs. Together, we’ll raise our voices, spark new ideas, and drive meaningful collaboration and growth across Africa’s fashion industry,” she said.

 The press launch brought together key personalities and dignitaries, including H.E. Juliette Bynoe-Sutherland, High Commissioner of Barbados to Ghana, who delivered a keynote address on the importance of fashion in cultural exchange.

Other guests included Kofi Okyere Darko, Director of Diaspora Affairs at the Office of the President, Ghana, Hogan Gabriel, a comedian from Nigeria, and Miss World Morocco 2023, Sonia Aït Mansour.

FashionEVO says this is just the beginning of broader partnerships across Africa, starting with Ghana and aiming to strengthen the continent’s creative economy through fashion.
