Ghanaian gospel music continues to thrive globally, and UK-based Ghanaian artiste, Mercy Ochere has been instrumental in that regard.

And her efforts have been duly recognised after clinching UK-based Artiste of the Year award the fifth edition of the Modern Gospel Awards(MOGA) held in Accra.

In 2024, Mercy Ochere was crowned Worship Artiste of the Year at the Modern Gospel Awards (MOGA) 2024, a testament to her exceptional vocal talent and dedication to her craft. 

The UK-based singer beat out tough competition to claim the award, which was a significant milestone in her career.

Mercy Ochere's music is a reflection of her faith and commitment to spreading the message of God's love. 

Her well known songs such as "Blessed Be Your Name," "Ma Nya Faahodi," and "Yesu Be Ye Da," speaks hope to listeners, earning her a considerable attention in the space.

“I'm humbled and grateful for this recognition. It's a testament to God's faithfulness and the impact He's made through my music,” she said. 

Modern Gospel Awards (MOGA) is an awards scheme dedicated to the celebration and honour of gospel musicians.

This year’s event had Selina Boateng honoured with the Lifetime Achievement award.
