Professor James Adu Opare, 66, a lecturer of Cape Coast University has been enstooled as chief of Ahwerease near Aburi under the stool name Nana Opare Addo 11.
He succeeded his uncle, Nana Opoku Ampong 11 who died four years ago.
In his maiden address after swearing the oath of allegiance to Nana Otoobuor Djan Kwesi II, Omanhene of Akuapem Anafo Traditional Area, Nana
Opare Addo appealed to the people to guard against petty squabbles and come together to enable them to undertake meaningful development projects to
uplift the image of the town.
He pledged his commitment to ensure that all children of school going-age are in school through an educational trust fund to be lunched during the forthcoming Odwira festival.
Nana Otoobuor Djan Kwesi urged the new chief to place his vast experience as a Professor in education of the whole Akuapem South Municipality.
The Member of Parliament for the area, Mr Osei Bonsu Amoah, called on the parents to send their children to school to become useful citizens in
future.
