Saint Paul's Catholic Church at Amakom, Kumasi, has organized a mock examination for 211 Junior High School (JHS) candidates, who worship with the Church.
This was to help identify their strength and weaknesses and to guide them ahead of the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE).
Mr. Eric Kyei, President of the Amakom branch of the Catholic Teachers Association, said the exercise was part of their social responsibility, adding, all should help in the educational development of the youth.
He said the goal of the church was not only to promote the spiritual upliftment of the people but also their physical progress as well.
He counselled the students to resist the temptation of cheating in examinations.
They should work hard and avoid cutting corners.
Mr. Kyei urged various professionals in the church to put their expertise at the disposal of the youth.
Mr. Felix A. Baidoo, Public Relations Officer of the Church, commended the teachers for the gesture.
