Mr. William Kwame Karikari Amankwaah, Administrator of the Dome Zonal Council of the Ga East Municipal Assembly, has called on businesses operators including private school owners to pat
their taxes to the Council He said that the Council needed to generate more revenue through
taxation to enable it to undertake more projects.
Mr. Amankwaah made the call at a meeting with heads and owners of private schools in the area, at Dome in Accra on Wednesday.
The meeting formed part of public education on the need for the citizenry to pay taxes regularly to promote development.
He lamented that even though there existed more than 100 private schools in the Zone, only few of them have paid tax to the Council.
Mr. Amankwaah reminded residents of the area that the ban on putting up structures on waterways was still being enforced.
He called on the people to observe good environmental sanitary practices.
