The Juaben Circuit Court in Ashanti, has sentenced an 18 year old unemployed to 15 years imprisonment in hard labour for stealing three mobile phones valued at GH� 140 at Effiduase.
Akwasi Osei, alias Rasta, was sentenced on his own plea of guilty.
Police Chief Inspector J.K Torsu told the court, presided by Mr Justice Alex Obeng Asante, that on May 21, this year, Osei entered three rooms in
separate operations to steal the phones.
The phones are a Nokia model valued at GH�60, for one Aboagye Antwi, a Dorado model valued GH�40 belonging for Frank Kwabena Agyekum and another one worth GH�40 belonging to Obiri Kwame.
Chief Inspector Torsu said after the operation, Osei escaped to Asokore but the owners managed to arrest and handed him over to the Police.
The phones were retrieved and after investigations charged with the offence.
Justice Obeng Asante, pronouncing judgment, said he took cognizance of his age and the fact that all the phones had been retrieved from him.
