Traditional leaders of Nkwanta North District and
its Konkomba Youth Association (KOYA) have lauded the leadership style of Mr Paul Levin Gyato, the District Chief Executive, saying he had consolidated the peace and promoting development in the area.
The groups have therefore pledged their support to his administration at a day's conference organized by the two institutions at Kpassa on Monday.
Tadin Konja, the Regent of Kpassa, appealed to all citizens and residents to forge a common front to promote the development of the district
in peace and unity.
Mr James B. D. German, an ex-serviceman and Patron of KOYA, said a lot had been achieved within a short time and these include the establishment of
a district court, building of schools, CHPS compound, bungalows and creation of job avenues for the youth.
He said 150 youths were engaged by Zoomlion, 300 for forestation project and 1,000 for youth in agriculture.
Mr German requested the Assembly to enact a bye-law to outlaw the felling of economic trees such as sheanut and Dawadawa for charcoal burning.
Mr Samuel Attah Neina, the Chairman of Nkwanta North Chapter of KOYA, said the purpose of the conference was to demonstrate their support and
commitment to development.
Ubor Balin Bijilla II, Chief of Abunyanya, said anonymous letter writing and publication of falsehood in the media against the leadership of
the district was anti-developmental.
Mr Gyato said the area could develop in an atmosphere of peace and appealed to the people to educate their children.
