The Mfantseman Municipality registered about 10,775 people in the voters' registration exercise last month, as against 9,558 in 2008 exercise.
They are made up of 5,262 males and 5,513 females.
Mr Eric Abakah Hagan, Municipal Electoral Officer who released the figures to the GNA at Saltppond at the weekend, sad 13 people who registered did not have their pictures taken due to faulty cameras and did not have patience to wait for the fault to be rectified.
Mr Hagan said the high votes were recorded at centres where senior high schools were situated and at market centres in Mankessim.
He said 4,109 applications were received for replacement of cards.
Mr Hagan said few cases of double registration were detected and were resolved by the officer in charge of the centre and party agents. The names of the people involved were cancelled and their registration cards withdrawn.
He described the exercise in the municipality as successful and commended the registration assistants and party agents for a good work done.
