Mr Charles Yeboah, a former staff of Presbyterian Hospital at Dormaa Ahenkro in the Brong Ahafo Region, has donated a computer-powered biolux microscope, valued at GH� 350 to the health facility.
Mr Yeboah, now based in the UK, who made the donation at Dormaa Ahenkro, said it was his �widow�s mite� towards the hospital�s efforts at replacing outmoded gadgets with modern equipment.
He appealed to his medical colleagues working at home and abroad to assist their mother institutions with basic equipment in order to function efficiently in the delivery of quality health care to the people.
The hospital�s General Manager, Mr Fred Effah-Yeboah, commended Mr Yeboah for the gesture.
Mr Ben Combert, a principal laboratory technician at the hospital said the modern microscope would facilitate the work of the laboratory staff.
