Members of the Youth Bridge Foundation, a youth development Non Governmental Organisation, have commended government for fulfilling its promise to implement the National Youth Policy.
The members are delighted to hear that the Government has finally approved the blue print of a National Youth Policy, which would help deal
with many challenges facing the youth, Mr Seth Oteng, Executive Director of YBF said.
In an interview with the Ghana News Agency (GNA) on Thursday in Accra, he said, The youth forms a very critical constituency as far as the
countrys development is concerned. And there is the need to empower them to play their respective roles.
It is our belief that this policy would be linked to areas that would be very useful and enable the youth to develop their capabilities, he
added.
Mr Oteng noted that YBFs critical mission is to ensure that the youth policy come into force as well as urged government and other relevant bodies
to push for its implementation.
YBF exists to bridge the policy gap between the youth and government for positive development, which has been identified and executed. We are
hoping that such a policy would fill other gaps such as youth illiteracy, violence, discrimination and unemployment, he said.
