The Bibiani District Hospital through its internally-generated funds is building walkways at the facility at a cost of about GH55,000.00.
Mr Allen Seth Anku, the Hospital Administrator, told the Ghana News Agency (GNA) that materials for the project including sand and stones are already in place.
The construction of the walkways, he said, had become necessary given the difficulty and inconvenience both health personnel and patients face in moving from one point to the other.
It would take about four months to complete the project.
Mr Anku also spoke of plans to fence the hospital and erect a security post to beef up security.
He invited the Bibiani-Anhwiaso-Bekwai District Assembly and mining companies operating in the area to help build a new and more spacious
Out-Patients Department (OPD) for the facility.
