Ghana’s 54th Independence Day anniversary must remind Ghanaians of the need to look at their
strengths and what areas of their lives needed updating, Mr nIssah Musah Adams, Founder of Support Life International, a ncomprehensive health therapy organization, has advised.
“Our Independence Day and any other national occasions should always be times for us to tune-up our lives by appraising our attitudes towards our own self, fellow man and most especially our beloved country, Ghana,” he said.
In a statement issued on the eve of Ghana’s Independence Day on Saturday from the US to salute those who fought for the freedom and independence of the country, Mr Adams said the country had come far and what the citizens needed most was unity, love and peace to work to transform every community, town and region to make life safe and better for all.
He said people must have positive mindset, because in these days when life feels like long and hard road, what people needed was to modify their self-talk just enough to accommodate the possibility that things might not be as bad as
they appeared at the moment.
“Let us practice countering the negatives with a few positives – ‘I can do it’ is a phrase that can help us to achieve a lot, Mr Adams, a global social health and wellness activist, said.
Providing some health therapy tips, he said, people could use the Independence holiday to engage in activities such as listening to their favourite music, taking leisure outside their homes, meditating, praying and do some yoga practices. These activities, he explained, were techniques for distressing.
Mr Adams also reminded Ghanaians of the importance of healthy diet, saying one that promotes well-being and positive energy.
He said every single Ghanaian deserved to be congratulated for contributing towards the growth and development of the country and added that people, “must create a realistic vision for what they wanted their lives to look like in future so as to commit to making that to happen.”
