Star Life Assurance Company, a member of the Star Group of Companies, on Thursday donated 40 bags of cement to Kabore School Complex, a garrison school of the 66 Artillery Regiment in Ho.
It was in response to an appeal by the Regiment to corporate bodies in the Ho Municipality towards erecting a wall around the school.
The school has witnessed series of thefts, the latest of which resulted in the loss of 10 computers from the school’s computer library.
Mr Sulemana Abdulai, Ho Branch Manager of Star Assurance, said the erecting of the wall would help prevent encroachment on the school’s land, pupils from breaking bounds and exposure to mischief and accidents.
He said: “When this project is done, we will all have our peace of mind and know that our children are secured in when at school”.
Miss Modesta Miero, Headmistress of the school, thanked the company for the donation and asked other companies to emulate the gesture.
Present at the ceremony was Lieutenant Colonel Abbass Seidu, Commanding Officer of the 66 Artillery Regiment.
Officials of the company used the opportunity to educate the soldiers on the importance of Life Insurance and its products.
