More than ten prepaid customers of Tigo network have so far benefited from the Tigo Family Care Insurance underwritten by Vanguard Life.

Tigo subscribers, said the beneficiaries claimed between GH¢200 and GH¢1,000 each after they were able to provide documentary evidence for the demise of their loved ones they indicated as beneficiaries.
The product provides life insurance coverage to a subscriber and one member of the subscriber’s family, with the sum assured determined by the amount of airtime used in a month.
Mr Buckman said because the product rewards customer loyalty, Tigo Family Care Insurance is free to subscribers who sign up with a trained agent in one of Tigo’s customer service centres.
“Tigo and Vanguard Life have committed to paying out claims within 72 hours after required documentation is received.
“With several claimants having experienced a hassle-free, quick and easy claim process, Tigo Family Care Insurance is delivering on its promises to provide support for its customers in their time of need,” he said.
Tigo Ghana, Mr Buckman added aims to enhance its organizational reputation and credibility as it deepens trust among its stakeholders while delivering products that solve important customer needs.
