The Apostolic Congress for Africa (ACA), a global inter-denominational Christian organisation, has inaugurated its Ghana chapter at Saltpond in the Central Region.
Eleven-member National Executives with Evangelist Eric Abakah as the Ghana branch Director were inducted into office.
Bishop Doctor Godwin O. Opara, Deputy Africa Director of ACA based in Nigeria said the organisation comprised independent Church leaders and ministers of the gospel with the same doctrinal learning.
He said ACA has its Africa Headquarters in Nigeria and International Headquarters at London England.
Bishop Dr Opara said the major task of ACA was to provide apostolic oversight to churches, ministers of God and government officials.
He said ACA's aim is to train people to be disciples of Africa, restore order and discipline to the body of Christ and support African leaders to achieve progress.
It also seeks to empower Christians to maximize their potentials and use God's resources to enhance their welfare being.
Bishop Dr Opara said ACA pursued programmes and projects to provide capacity building opportunities for its members and various Africa Societies through economical, educational and spiritual enhancement.
He advised the executives of the Ghana Chapter to be well-informed and work hard to win more souls for Christ and for the entire society to benefit from it.
Apostolic James Asoandzie, Deputy Director said it was about time that people came together on the note of revelry, joy and constructive purpose to share thoughts, ideas as well as soberly reflected on the welfare of the people.
He said as a Christian organisation, they ought to be honest and respectful and contribute their quota to support the development of people and society.
Mr Aquinas Tawiah Quansah, National Democratic Congress Parliamentary Candidate for Saltpond appealed to Christians to use the word of God to sensitised people to be at peace with each other during and after the December Election.
He said politics is not about fighting, but rather a process to elect leaders and advised Christians not to shy away from polities.
