As part of its contribution towards peaceful elections, the Exhibition Assemblies of God Church located at Dansoman in Accra dedicated its Sunday service to prayers for the Electoral Commission.
Preaching from Genesis 18:32, the Rev. Eric Asamoah Frimpong, Associate Pastor extolled the compassion of God and his willingness to spare the lives of thousands just for the sake of 10 ighteous people.
"If the church will stand up and be counted as the 10 righteous men that God was looking for in Sodom and Gomorrah, I do believe that He will spare this nation of any calamity," he added.
He appealed to Ghanaians not to relent in prayers until the results had been declared and accepted by all.
"It is only when we sit idle without praying that the devil will get the guts to operate to our disadvantage," he added.
He called on Ghanaians not to entertain any fear of conflict but believe in the delivering hands of God and go out to vote peacefully.
"I know and believe deep down in my heart that God will not allow anything bad to happen to this beloved country of ours and that at the end Ghana will emerge victorious," he said.
The church service which was not well attended lasted for about an hour.
