Nana Akosua Frimpongmaa II, the Founder and Executive Director of Caring Kids International, a non-governmental organisation, has presented gifts valued at GH C 28,000 to some basic school children, widows and the aged in the Dormaa Municipality.
The items were 450 pieces of wax prints for the widows and the aged, 11, 000 toys and biscuits for the school children.
Presenting the gifts to the beneficiaries Nana Akosua, who is also the Dwantuahemaa of Dormaa Traditional Council, appealed for the recognition of contributions of the aged "whose vast experience and expertise can guide the youth towards success in life".
She urged the youth to accord the aged the necessary respect and protection.
Nana Akosua assured the widows and the aged of the NGO's continued support and urged the school children to concentrate on their studies to justify the huge investments made by the government and their parents in their education.
