Mr. Joseph Amoah, President of the Asanteman Senior High School Old Students' Association, has said that the group provided its alma mater with an internet facility worth over GH¢2,000 to enhance teaching and learning.
He said the association has also provided eight cookers for the Home Economics Department of the school, approved of the construction of a classroom block and a dormitory and funded the establishment of a website for the school.
Mr. Amoah, who was speaking at a get-together, organised by the association at Kumasi, stated that the group supported brilliant but needy students to enable them to continue their education.
Professor Yaw Agyemang Badu, Rector of Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA), a past student, praised members of the association for their achievements in life. Mr. Kofi Owusu Adantem, Headmaster of the school, and a past student, called on the members to unite and support the school.
The past students were treated to gospel, high-life and hip-life music and certificates of honour were presented to the dedicated members.
