A 20-year-old bus conductor, Moses Acquah, was on Monday charged for possessing narcotic drug by the Tema Circuit Court "A".
Accused pleaded guilty to the charge but sentence was deferred awaiting report from the crime laboratory.
Chief Inspector Adolphus Otchere told the court presided over by Mrs Lauren Owusu that the Tema Regional Police Command organised a swoop in Ashaiman Municipality to weed out criminals.
Mr Otchere said on March 01, the accused was spotted at Fitter Line, a suburb of Ashaiman holding a match box that he threw away when he saw the police.
When police retrieved the box and opened it they found it contained dried leaves suspected to be Indian hemp.
