A circuit court at Hohoe, has imposed a fine of 200 Ghana Cedis on Haruna Adam, a driver, for careless and inconsiderate driving and negligently causing harm to Kojo Muhammadu, resulting in his death and the maiming of Chikpa Mabi.
Adams, who pleaded guilty to the charges, would go to jail for six month in default.
Chief Inspector Samuel Gbedemah told the court presided over by Mr. Edward Apenkwa that Adams drove a Daihatsu truck on the Nkwanta-Dambai motor road (at Ofosu) recklessly and caused harm to Muhammadu, a pillion rider, resulting in his death.
He said the vehicle of Adam also knocked down Mabi, who was riding a motor bike and he was rushed to Saint Joseph's Hospital for treatment.
