The Effutu Municipal Chief Executive, Mr Nii Ephraim, has appealed to members of the assembly to work hard to improve revenue generation to enable it get more revenue to support development projects.
He said without enough funds, the assembly would not be in a position to undertake more development projects to improve the living standard of the people.
He said this at an emergency meeting of the assembly at Winneba where it formed its sub-committees to help facilitate the work of the Assembly.
Mr Ephraim expressed appreciation to the assembly for his confirmation and appealed to members to give him their support to achieve the task ahead.
He said he was not happy about the falling standard of education especially in the basic schools in the Effutu Municipality and called on the stakeholders to adopt effective measures to reverse the trend.
Mr Ephraim said discussions had been held with Mr Mike Hammah, MP for Effutu and Minister of Transportation, on rehabilitation of roads, provision of streets lights and cleaning of the beach to attract tourists to the area.
The Assembly later unanimously approved the purchase of new grader at the cost of 240,000 Ghana cedis to facilitate rehabilitation of roads in the municipality.
