At least 26 people were killed by heavy rainstorms in Mongolia's western province Gobi-Altai and the capital Ulan Bator last week, local media reported on Monday.
More than 1,800 families suffered great property losses and 126 families were left homeless, local media reported quoting the Mongolian General Authority for Emergency Management.
The storm, the worst in Mongolia in many years, also devastated Ulan Bator's infrastructure, destroying three bridges.
In 2008, 18 people died from rainstorms in the country.
The Mongolian government had provided the disaster area with 1,750,000 tugrugs (about 1,200 U.S. dollars) and some make-shift shelters.
The weather forecast service has warned of imminent heavy rains in many parts of the country. Precautions are being taken for rainstorm and possible flood.
