The death toll of A/H1N1 flu pandemic has risen to 112 in Turkey, a local newspaper reported Tuesday.
Currently 301 people infected with the flu were under treatment in hospitals and 59 of them in intensive care units, the Hurriyet Daily News
cited a Health Ministry statement as saying.
Among those who killed by the disease, 63 had chronic illnesses and two were pregnant women, the ministry was quoted as saying.
Turkey reported the first A/H1N1 flu case in May and the first death from the disease last month.
Earlier this month, authorities started to vaccinate health care personnel, children between the ages of 6 months and 5 years and people
suffering from chronic illnesses.
