The Alisa Hotel in Accra has won an enviable award as the best hotel in Customer Service excellence at the 3rd Ghana Customer Service Awards (GCSA) ceremony held at the British Council in Accra.
Alisa achieved this enviable feat in the famous category of being enlisted as part of the Corporate Ambassadors for Customer Service Excellence.
The GCSA was instituted by the Organization for Customer Service Excellence- Ghana, to recognize, encourage and reward businesses for their outstanding contribution and commitment towards the development of Customer service in the country.
It is also to raise the standards of Customer Service across Ghana through awareness creation, education and sharing of global best practices.
Speaking to Journalists present, the Head of the Sales and Marketing Department of Alisa Hotel, Ms. Nana Konadu Boateng, who received the award on behalf of the facility, said the hotel for the past two years have invested heavily in its human resource towards improved Customer Service delivery, since it had observed that clients would be able to enjoy good products if it is coupled with quality customer service delivery.
She explained that Management of the hotel started such conscious efforts of improving customer service delivery with an in-house training and brought in experts in the field to facilitate the course, which is all aimed at providing good customer service delivery for clients.
Mr. George Asante Ofosu, the Acting General Manager of Alisa Hotel, expressed appreciation to the organizers for the recognition and dedicated the award to the hotel's large clientele and assured them of a more improved customer service delivery in the ensuing years ahead.
Mr. Hector Wulff, President of the Organization for Customer Service Excellence, in his remarks praised Alisa Hotel and other award winners for their commitment towards good customer service delivery. "The project is to encourage organizations to set standards in customer service in the country and with the institution of such awards other corporate organization will follow suit with appropriate action to improve customer service delivery in the country for a better Ghana", he added.
He said the GCSA will celebrate hundreds of proponents of customer service excellence, showcasing a vast array of companies and individuals across the country.
Present at the ceremony was the President of the Consumer Advocacy-Ghana, Dr. Mrs. Alabi, who chaired the event and the Minister in charge of Public Sector Reform at the Office of the President, Alhassan Azong.
