The number of Syrian refugees receiving assistance from the Lebanese government and non-governmental aid agencies has reached 195,000, a report of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees said Saturday.
The report said more than 139,000 refugees have been registered and about 55,000 are waiting to be registered officially.
About 1,500 Syrian refugees are being registered daily at four registration offices in Lebanon.
According to the report, at least 70,751 refugees are residing in north Lebanon, while 53,351 in the Bekaa and 15,173 in Beirut and south Lebanon.
