The Ghana Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) has donated a set of desktop computer, one laptop and several hundred copies of GCAA branded exercise books to the La Wireless Cluster of Schools.
According to a statement released by the Authority, the donation, which was made over the holidays, was part of GCAA's 2012 Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme to support those in need.
Mr David Twum-Antwi, Director of Finance, who represented the Director-General at the presentation told the beneficiaries that "it was GCAA's wish to support communities, individuals and institutions who may be in need in one way or the other".
Mr. Twum-Antwi tasked the recipients to take very good care of the items since they carried monetary values.
Mr. Abdul-Gamel Ligbi, a head teacher of one of the Junior High Secondary schools, assisted by Mrs. Abudu also a head teacher of one of the basic schools within the La Wireless Cluster of Schools, received the items and expressed appreciation for the kind gesture to them.
"Indeed, these items could not have come at a better time as all electronic and electrical items had been burgled from the office", he said and thanked the GCAA for responding to their call for help, adding the items would go a long way to enhance the study of ICT and the smooth administration of the school.
