• Latest game show winner takes home GHC 47, 50O
Following massive yearnings by Ghanaians, leading mobile network operator, Zain, has extended its ‘Live Your Dream Too’ promotion initially scheduled to end first week of June for three more weeks. Also in a related development, a 32 year old student has emerged a proud winner of GHC 47, 500 for week nine of the game show.
Stephen Addo, 32, and a second year student at Sikkim Manipal University (SMU), who also doubles as a web developer, challenged doubting Thomases to please reach him for confirmation that there is “No kululu” involved in the consumer offer and urged everyone to participate and get rewarded, adding that he will use his fortune to further his education, invest in a business he has already registered and also support his girlfriend, who is a caterer.
The company said it decided to extend the date of the promo due to its growing popularity and the request by its numerous customers who have classified it as “impactful and a thing of joy”.
Zain commenced the promo last March as part of its effort to reward its customers for their loyalty to the brand since inception.
Shading more light on the extension, the company’s Marketing Manager for Consumer and Payphone, Tara Squire, said “the decision to extend the promotion was taken to allow customers continue to savour the pleasure of being on the Zain network, adding that the operator feels rewarded by bringing joy and hope to so many people across the length and breadth of the country”.
“We derive satisfaction in seeing most people who were hitherto on the lower rung of the financial scale, use our various loyalty initiatives especially the Live Your Dream platform, to step into a new world of financial prosperity and social relevance.”
He added that “with the additional three weeks extension, Zain has magnanimously made yet available for grabs, an extra whooping sum of GHC 340,000 to lucky customers who would be fortunate to win during the bonus weeks”.
So far, Zain has changed the lives of 75,387 customers who have won mouth-watering cash prizes of GHC 644, 700 and other exotic consolatory prizes including handsets, Acer Netbook lap tops and millions worth of airtime to actualize their dream of financial comfort, educational fulfillment and business expansion and pursuits that were hampered by either lack of funds or opportunities.
Only recently, Samuel Owusu Agyemang Prempeh, a former owner of a thriving clothing business that went under a few months ago, was given a new lease of life when he won GHC 57,500 to emerge the highest cash prize winner in the promo. Prempeh promptly pledged amongst other plans, to plug-back a chunk of his Zain largesse, into reviving his comatose business.
To participate in the Zain Live Your Dream Promo which is opened to both old and new Zain customers, simply load GHC 2 credit or use 50 GHp in 24 hours to qualify for the weekly draw. The more credit used improves your chances of entry. Every week, 43 winners are drawn from the database of entries and rewarded with cash and other prizes.
The ultimate winner from the draw automatically qualifies for the second phase of the promo tagged the Reward Game Show and presented with a board of sixteen numbers to select only three boxes out of the sixteen boards each hiding various cash value with a maximum value of GHC 25, 000. If fortune smiles on him and all his three chosen boxes carry the maximum value, then he walks away a proud grand prize winner of GHC 75,000 to live his dream happily ever after.
The Zain LYD game show airs weekly on GTV every Monday at 9:00pm and Friday at 9:30pm. It is also shown on TV3 every Tuesday and Saturday at 6:55pm, on Metro TV on Friday and Saturday at 6:05pm and 8:00pm respectively. E.tv Ghana takes it turn on Saturdays and Sunday at 6:00pm.
