ABN Productions creates another outstanding event with 'A View from the
Top'with Advocate Thuli Madonsela, which took place on 31 October at the
luxurious Mount Nelson Hotel in Cape Town. This is the third, in a series
of events that ABN Productions will be hosting for Deloitte with CNBC
Africa as the official broadcaster.
The hotel is situated in a superb location at the foot of Table Mountain.
The ballroom of this luxury hotel housed an insightful look into the
functioning of the Public Protectors Office of South Africa, the function
of which was to uphold the principles of our constitutional democracy.
"A View from the Top is an event that we have organised which presents an
opportunity for the Titans of the African industry to communicate with
society and part knowledge onto others," said the Head of the ABN
Productions, Zubaidah Haniff.
"Our affiliation with CNBC Africa gives us access to the thought leaders
in our industry. We are pleased to have Deloitte partner with us on this
series of events that rolled out in 2012, which included the likes of
Jannie Mouton, Founder and Chairman of PSG Financial Services Limited and
Cobus de Swardt, Managing Director of Transparency International."
Advocate Madonsela's three year tenure at the top of the organisation has
seen her addressing and resolving a number of high profile cases of
corruption. Her experiences in dealing with these were the key focus of
her 30 minute interview with CNBC Africa anchor and acclaimed economic and
political journalist, Karima Brown. The event was attended by captains of
industry including the founder of Associated Magazines, South African
media icon, Jane Raphaely, and Brimstone chief executive Mustaq Brey.
