Although there are three constestants,Assuah is tipped as the favourite in and around the constituencies and likely to emerge victorious in the race.

A statement signed by Mr Victor Arthur Nkrumah, a delegate and copied to the Ghana News Agency in Takoradi said Mr Assuah has been a Regional Patron for the past eight years and assisted the Region and constituencies in various ways.

IT said he was a member of the NPP regional council of patrons and  key financier of the party. 

The statement said in 2004, he sponsored the parliamentary candidate, in the Juaboso constituency with T - Shirts, posters, motor bikes and funds and contributed funds to the Juaboso constituency during the 2008 elections.

It said he also contributed funds and materials to the Parliamentary Candidates of Bodi and Sefwi Wiawso Constituency in 2012 and in 2016 purchased motorbikes, computer and funds for the Party at the Regional level.

"It is time to reward Mr. Assuah for his huge sacrifice to the party, he has committed most of  his personal resources into the party's activities.

"The message of resourcing the constituencies, unifying the rank and file of the party, resourcing and equipping constituency executives is Paramount".

The Candidate, Mr William Assuah described himself as a good resource capable of attributing like-minded individuals for election 2020 and beyond.

According to the statement, his vision would strengthen relations with party Executives and those in the helm of affairs for improved governance.
