He said the party was a big family with people from different backgrounds and therefore, needed to do a critical introspection and address any challenges that could impede their ambition of retaining power.

Speaking at the party's National Delegates Conference in Accra, Mr Mensah-Bonsu announced that, it would conduct its parliamentary primaries on April 2020 and believed that it was only when the party remained united that they could defeat their opponents in the up-coming elections.

Contrary to the claim by the National Democratic Congress that the government had performed abysmally, the Majority Leader insisted that the NPP's government performed better and improved the livelihoods of the ordinary Ghanaians.

On Parliamentary work, he stated that with its majority, it successfully passed bills including one on Office of the Special Prosecutor, the Bauxite Development, Research and Development Mining, and Statistics bill.

Mr Mensah-Bonsu also recounted some of the achievements of the Party over the three-year period through its ingenuity and innovative policies by introducing programmes including; the Planting for Food and Jobs that boosted food production and the Nation Builders Corps that employed about 100,000 university graduates.

The government, he said,restored the Teachers and Nurses allowance, restored the banking sector to make it resilient, Free Senior High School and built small dams for irrigation in the northern part of the country.

Mr Mensah-Bonsu, said there were other infrastructural projects that were on going such as the building of landing beaches along the coast and warehouses and urged the party grassroots to work hard to ensure victory in 2020 in other to continue.

He congratulated the Greater Accra, Northern, Upper West and other regions who ensured that the votes of the NDC were reduced to ensure a resounding victory for the NPP in the 2020 elections.

He expressed surprise at the NDC's U-turn over agreement to endorse 'Yes vote' for the aborted national referendum.
