The Seychelles' government has set up a disaster relief fund after Thursday's explosion at an industrial zone near the capital, Victoria.
The blast at a construction and quarrying company, where explosives were being stored in four containers, ripped through the area leaving a trail of devastation.
President Wavel Ramkalawan said it looked "as if we went through a war".
No deaths were reported but one person was being treated in intensive care.
The island nation is also coping with the impact of flooding following heavy rains this week.
Cable & Wireless Seychelles has donated $76,000 (£60,000) for relief efforts, the Seychelles Nation newspaper reports.
