A new poll conducted by Global InfoAnalytics suggests that the National Democratic Congress (NDC) is on course to retain the Ayawaso East parliamentary seat in the upcoming March 2026 by-election.
The poll indicates that either of the two leading contenders in the NDC parliamentary primary would comfortably defeat the New Patriotic Party (NPP) candidate in a head-to-head contest.

According to the survey, Hajia Amina Adams leads the NPP’s Baba Ali with 73 percent of voter support. In a separate matchup, Baba Jamal also secures a clear advantage, polling 67 percent against Baba Ali’s 33 percent.
The findings were disclosed by the Executive Director of Global InfoAnalytics, Mussa Dankwah, in a Facebook post on Thursday, February 5.
Meanwhile, the poll also shows that Hajia Amina Adams is the preferred choice among voters in the NDC’s Ayawaso East parliamentary primary ahead of the by-election.
The survey indicates that 58 percent of respondents support Hajia Amina Adams, while Baba Jamal follows with 32 percent. The remaining aspirants—Muhammed Ramne, Dr. Yakubu Azindow, and Najib Muhammed Sani—polled 5 percent, 3 percent, and 2 percent, respectively.
