President John Dramani Mahama on Wednesday tasked members of the Council of State to be frank in their deliberations and feed him with truthful information to enable him to act swiftly.
He said: "In your deliberations, I expect you to be open, frank and truthful at all times to give me the right information to act on."
President Mahama said this when he swore-in a 22-member Council of State at the Flagstaff House, Kanda.
The members are John Henry Martey Newman, former Chief of Staff, Cecilia Johnson, Nana Osei Asibie II, Dobosohene; Patrick Enyonam Agboba, Togbe Siri III; Rasheed Sulemana Mahama, Okogyeman Kwaku Gyamprah III, David Kangah, Ama Benyiwa-Doe, Dr Edward Nminyouor Gyader, Pastor Abraham Kwaku Adusei and Dr Rabiatu Deinyo Ammah, who were all nominated by the President.
The elected members are George Kofi Dadzie, Dr Percival Alfred Kuranchie, Emmanuel Adzei-Anang, Togbui Binah Lawluvi VI, Nana Kodua Kesse II, Nana Asiama Poku Afrifa II, Nana saa Gyamfuah II, Vo-Naa Bawah Mohammed Baba, Rt Reverend Jacob Kofi Ayeebo and Guli-Naa Seidu Bhat Braimah.
President Mahama said government would soon find lasting solutions to the energy load-shedding that the country was currently experiencing.
He explained that the deficit of 200 megawatts started last year when the West African Gas Pipeline experienced some problems.
The President added that before the commencement of the project by the end of April this year, government would have augmented the current status with additional energy from the western region and from the Bui dam and appealed to Ghanaians to bear with the situation until it was rectified.
He gave the assurance that the current load-shedding would become the thing of the past by the end of 2013.
Mr John Henry Martey Newman on behalf of his colleagues gave the assurance that they would work hard to justify their selection as members of the Council.
