Augustine Arhinful, former member of the Black Stars says Ghana and Nigeria are worthy finalists of the 2017 FOX WAFU Cup of Nations.
The local Black Stars emerged 2-0 winners over Niger, a few hours after Nigeria had recorded a 1-0 win over Benin in the other Semi- final match of the Competition.
Speaking to the press after the game at the Cape Coast Sports Stadium, Arhinful commended both countries and urged them to produce a good final on Sunday.
“I think the two best teams of the competition have qualified to the finals and we hope they would give us a better game on Sunday.
"We have seen Nigeria play most of their games in the afternoons, which had been very difficult for them because of the scorching sun, now they would play in the evening and that would be a great atmosphere.
"Ghana lost 0-2 to Nigeria in the Group stage and will have to strategize well to overcome the Nigerians on Sunday. They are strong in defence but I am sure the Stars and the technical team know what to do to defeat the Nigerians.
"They should be able to correct whatever went wrong in the first game and come out stronger on Sunday,” Augustine Arhinful said.
