The sanctions were handed on Saturday by CAF’s Disciplinary Board and are in connection with the latest undercover works of investigative journalist Anas Aremeyaw Anas into football corruption.
Ghanaian referees Reginald Lathbridge, Bello Aboudou, Eric Nantiere, Cecil Fleischer, Nathan Anafo, Ouedraogo Dawood, Salifu Malik, Theresa Akongyam, Badiu Ibrahim and David Laryea, along with Liberian Yekeh Jerry have been suspended provisionally pending their appearance before CAF’s Disciplinary Board on August 5, 2018.
Four Ivorian officials, a Togolese, Nigerien, Mauritanian, Malian, Gambian and a Burkinabe were all handed varying bans, beside the life sentence imposed on the Kenyan.
