In a release from the Sports Ministry signed by Miss Gifty Eghan, Assistant Public Relations Officer, Mr. Isaac Kwame Asiamah, Minister for Youth and Sports urged the team to rise to the occasion and emulate the feat chalked by the 2009 team, that won at both the African and World edition of Youth championship.

Furthermore, the statement expressed confidence in the ability of Richard Commey to clinch the International Boxing Federation (IBF) Lightweight title against Russian opponent Isa Chaniev in the United States of America (USA) this weekend.

Mr. Asiamah, has therefore called on all Ghanaians to support our “men” as they bid to bring honour to our dear country.
