Players and Officials of Keta Sunset Beach Soccer Club based in the Volta region, on Thursday presented the 2019 Copa Lagos Champions Cup to Kurt Okraku, the President of the Ghana Football Association (GFA).
The laurel is the first won under the new GFA administration.
The Volta Region based club braced all odds to grab Africa's most prestigious beach soccer club Invitational trophy held in Nigeria.
Keta Sunset Beach Club grabbed the trophy after a record 23 goals including a 15-3 demolition against Pepsi Football Academy.
Present at the ceremony were Mr. Yaw Ampofo Ankrah, the President of Ghana Beach Soccer, Mark Addo, the Vice President of the GFA, George Amoako, a GFA Executive Council Member and Francis Oti Akenteng, technical department of the GFA.
Receiving the trophy, Mr. Okraku congratulated Keta Sunset Beach Soccer team led by Captain Michael Sema and Coach Ceasar Beckley for their outstanding performance and hoisting high the flag of Ghana.
The GFA President urged them to maintain the momentum to defend the title.
Dzidodo Ruben Adjahoe, the Chief Executive Officer of Keta Sunset Beach club, appealed stakeholders to support individuals and entities who invest in promoting sports in the country.
