Ghana were drawn in Group H alongside old foes Portugal and Uruguay, as well as Korea Republic for the November 21 to December 18 tournament.

The veteran administrator, however, cautioned the Black Stars not to be complacent but maintain their good form to enable them shine brighter in Qatar.

"I think it is a good draw for Ghana and the group is manageable for the Black Stars.

"They should not rest on their oars but they must be consistent in their performance all the way to the World Cup. If they are able to do that,I have no doubt at all that they will make the nation proud again in Qatar come November-December," Nana Brew-Butler told the Graphic Sports last Saturday.

The President of Division One side Ebusua Dwarfs, he congratulated the Black Stars players and the reconstituted technical team headed by Coach Otto Addo for securing Ghana's fourth FIFA World Cup ticket at the expense of Nigeria in the two-leg playoff last week, especially for the gallantry displayed by the team in both games.

"I must say I was very much impressed with the spirit which was displayed by the team against the star-studded Nigerian side during the playoff.

"You could see that the players were ready to die for the nation and that was what secured Ghana the qualification," he noted.

"I believe that fighting spirit was championed by Otto Addo due to his German upbringing. You could see the coach's influence on the team in both games," Nana Brew-Butler stated.

He advised the GFA to start preparations towards the FIFA World Cup right away with the same technical team in charge for the sake of consistency.
