Their toughest test came against Berekum Chelsea, where after a tense goalless draw, Nations FC held their nerve to claim a 4-3 victory on penalties—booking their place in the last four.

Aduana FC then overcame giants Asante Kotoko in a dramatic penalty shootout, winning 4-2 after a goalless draw in regulation time. They sealed their semi-final spot in style with a dominant 3-0 victory over Techiman Liberty in the quarter-finals.
