The Assembly member for Mamfam Electoral Area of Apam, Mr Theophilus Aidoo-Mensah has appealed to Ghanaians to give President John Evans Atta Mills a free hand to go about his duties.
Mr Aidoo-Mensah noted that too much pressure on him to speed up things could make him commit mistakes, which could be detrimental to national development.
Speaking to the Ghana News Agency at Apam at the weekend, he said "things done hurriedly do not often end well; therefore we must have patience for him".
He commended the President on the appointments made so far and said the blending of "the old guards with youthful blood" gives the assurance that each and every one has a role to play in national development under his administration.
Mr Aidoo-Mensah called on the "young ones who have found a place in the government to regard their appointment as a test case for the youth and strive to live up to expectation"
He congratulated Mrs. Ama Benyiwa Doe on her appointment as Central Regional Minister designate and said he is convinced that when given the nod by Parliament she would work hard to unite the people who had been divided by partisan politics.
"She must also strive to remove the poverty tag placed on the region as the fourth poorest in the country".
