The executives, patrons and the Terchire Students Union have congratulated Mr. Dominic Owusu Amok, the District Chief Executive-designate for Tano North, and expressed gratitude to the President for nominating him.
A statement signed by Mr Abudu Issaka, the Secretary, said "the competition was keen but after a pain-taking deliberation the President chose you. We are also grateful to the assembly members for their overwhelming endorsement."
The statement said Mr. Amoako's appointment did not come as a surprise because of the way he had distinguished himself in the district and in the National Democratic Congress.
"You also have an in-depth knowledge about the district since you were the MP for the then Tano constituency from 1992 to 1996," the statement said.
The statement urged the DCE to help improve the road network in the area to facilitate the evacuation of the large quantities of food stuffs produced in the area to the marketing centres.
It called for collaboration with agricultural extension officers to educate farmers on the best ways of storing some of the foodstuffs to avoid them going waste.
The statement urged the district administration to liaise with the Zoom Lion Company to employ more personnel to help clear the huge refuse dumps in the area.
On health the statement appealed for greater efforts to be made to increase admission into the Community Nursing Training College in the area to get more health workers to fill the health centres in the district.
The statement expressed the hope that the DCE, as a professional teacher, would "continue your good works in the area of education by accessing the best ways of supporting more students from the district to further their education to the tertiary level".
It advised the DCE to liaise with opinion leaders like the traditional authorities, students, religious bodies and NGOs to be able to perform to the expectation of the people.
