The Peruvian Congress launched its "Weekend Open Days for Citizens" activities on Sunday in efforts to enhance the parliament's ties with the masses to win public support for politics.
In front of the Congress building, hundreds of people from different walks of life posed various questions to the lawmakers and voiced concerns
and demands.
A guided tour to the Congress building was also arranged.
According to the Congress office for the open day activities, the move was proposed by President of the Congress Luis Alva Castro and would last
until Dec. 20.
