Stephen Bosworth, U.S. special envoy for the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK), arrived in Seoul on Thursday, wrapping up his three-day stay in Pyongyang.
Bosworth is scheduled to visit South Korea's foreign ministry in the afternoon and meet with Seoul's top negotiator to the six- party talks, Wi
Sung-lac, and Foreign Minister Yu Myung-hwan.
The U.S. envoy is to hold a press conference at local time 06: 00 p.m. (0900 GMT) and announce the result of his stay in Pyongyang.
It is widely expected that Bosworth's Pyongyang trip brought an optimistic outcome.
Before he left Pyongyang, he told Xinhua that the "it was a very useful set of meetings."
Bosworth is scheduled to leave Seoul on Friday, flying for Beijing, and then traveling to Tokyo and Moscow before heading back to the U.S. next week.
