The benchmark index moderated by 3.08 points (-0.14%) to close at 2,254.22 with a year-to-date return of 16.10% due to Ecobank Ghana (-%) while the market capitalization decreased by 0.06% to settle the session at GH¢57.59 billion.
Accordingly, the GSE Financial Index closed 5.59 points (-0.30%) at 1,834.96 with a year-to-date return of 2.93% while the SAS Manufacturing Index remained unchanged at 1,486.08 with a year-to-date return of -12.65%.
Trading activity weakened as 122,436 shares valued at GH¢151,802 changed hands from 1,121,731 shares valued at GH¢1,061,114 in the previous session. Cal Bank dominated trades by volumes and value, accounting for 82.87% of the total volumes traded and 42.78% of the total value traded.
We anticipate activity levels to increase.
