The African Insurance Exchange 2025 (AIE2025), one of Africa’s leading insurance conferences, is set to take place from 27 to 30 July 2025 at the iconic Sun City Convention Centre in South Africa, with a virtual attendance option available for delegates around the world.
Hosted by the Insurance Institute of South Africa (IISA) and the South African Insurance Association (SAIA), AIE2025 will bring together the continent’s leading insurers, brokers, reinsurers, regulators and service providers for three days of strategic conversation, high-level networking and shared insight.
This year’s theme, “The Baobab Advantage: Multifaceted Growth and Continuous Evolution”, draws inspiration from the strength and adaptability of the baobab tree – a fitting metaphor for the evolving African insurance landscape.
The event will feature a powerful lineup of speakers, including keynote speaker Mr. Mteto Nyati, executive chairman of the BSG Group and chairperson of Eskom Holdings – a celebrated business leader and author who will set the tone for discussions around innovation, resilience and transformation in the sector. A broad range of industry-relevant topics will be explored through panel discussions, expert presentations and breakaway sessions.
“AIE is more than just a conference,” says Thokozile Mahlangu, CEO of the IISA. “It’s a platform for shaping the future of insurance in Africa. We look forward to once again creating a space where ideas are shared, partnerships are forged and strategies are strengthened.”
Beyond the conference room, AIE2025 will balance business with celebration, offering a vibrant social programme that includes networking functions, entertainment and cultural engagement — a hallmark of the event’s unique appeal.
Whether attending in person or online, delegates can expect thought-provoking content, practical insights and opportunities to connect with industry peers from across the continent and beyond.
