Vodafone Ghana, through its flagship Vodafone Black, is headlining this year's African Legends Night.
It is the second time in succession that the telecom giant is partnering the musical event.
Vodafone is using the platform to further entrench its commitment of delighting its ultra-high value clients who are members of Vodafone Black, Ghana’s first personalised unlimited experience.
The ‘African Legends Night’, organised by Global Media Alliance, is an annual musical event organised to celebrate renowned African musicians. The event has featured various artistes in the past including South Africa's Hugh Masekela, Femi Kuti of Nigeria, Freddy Meiway of Ivory Coast and Yvonne Chaka-Chaka from South Africa.
Commenting on the partnership, Agnes Emefa Essah, Consumer Business Director:
"This platform represents all that is good about African music and is an excellent avenue for our ultra-high value customers. Beyond the promise we give them on Vodafone Black, we are also interested in catering to their non-telecommunication needs and this is definitely a perfect fit.”
This year's main attraction is the legendary DR Congo icon Kanda Bongo Man. Ghana's Daddy Lumba and Amakye Dede will also thrill guests to their hit songs which will be staged on September 30th, 2017.
Edwin Amankwah, a Director at Global Media Alliance said:
“We are happy to have Vodafone Ghana come on board as the headline sponsor. Vodafone’s support for the entertainment industry, over the years, has not been in doubt. This year’s event will be another celebration of our rich culture and heritage as Africans.”
