AFTER 20 years of serving as a member of the Psalms Acapella music group, Gospel artiste, EBA has dropped his first song, Balm Of Gilead, as a solo artiste.
Formally released on Friday, November 1, the inspirational material encourages the downhearted and depressed to trust in God in their low moments.
Biblically, balm of Gilead is an ointment used to heal the sick but the song explains it to mean Jesus Christ as the greatest healer.
“As humans, we always need God’s intervention in our endeavours. Balm of Gilead encourages people of Christian faith to trust in the saving power of God. If you are sick, seek God for your divine healing.
“It is my expectation that this song will travel far and transform many lives by drawing listeners closer to God,” he stated.
According to EBA who owns the Praise Factory Studio, he got the motivation to write Balm of Gilead during when all seemed lost for him.
“While driving one day, the Lord dropped the words in my spirit and immediately, I felt strong. It then dawned on me that it was a message God wanted to send out.
"I had to drop a song I was working on at that time to instead release Balm of Gilead.
“This song is a message of hope to those going through challenges in their health, business, career and marriage to trust God to restore their strength,” he stated.
Balm of Gilead is a live worship recording in the studios of Praise Factory. Even now, the video is out and EBA told Graphic Showbiz visuals were necessary to communicate the message of the song well.
“As my first solo project, I decided to release the song together with the video to appeal to people to appreciate the message of the song well since the song is a true representation of God,” he stated.
